In 1987, Michael Monette identified a need in the commercial relocation industry. Inspired by the arrival of personal computers, his aerospace and technology expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset, he and his wife, Linda, co-founded the company that would become Total Office Solutions (TOS). Today, Michael serves as the Co-Principal of TOS and its family of “Anywhere” companies.
Combining his technical expertise and background with his strategic vision, Michael has overseen the company’s growth in becoming the premier corporate relocation and office furnishings provider in Texas. Michael’s robust skill set includes contract negotiation, sales management, new business development, logistics, and employee training and development, which has enabled the family of “Anywhere” companies to attract some of the biggest global A-list brands as clients. TOS serves as a comprehensive business solution for companies looking for turnkey relocation assistance, offering a range of service lines that include, but are not limited to, workplace office consulting, office moves, technology deployment, decommissioning, furniture planning and purchases, liquidation services, painting, carpet replacement, and fractional day-of helpers.
Prior to TOS, Michael worked as a Branch Manager for Bell Atlantic Business System Services, where he oversaw service‑agreement sales for computing systems. He also held several management positions at Harris Corporation, including Test Manager, Engineering Continuation Manager, and Assembly Manager, where he was responsible for leading teams in the development of mini-computers and peripherals. Additionally, Michael is a U.S. Air Force veteran, where he served in Vietnam as an Avionics Specialist. He was responsible for developing and maintaining weapons and radar guidance technologies, as well as avionics systems, which contributed to his disciplined, mission-driven leadership approach.
Both Michael and Linda strongly believe in giving back to the community where they live, along with their two daughters and three grandchildren. Under their direction, TOS has partnered with several worthy organizations, including Toys for Tots, Big Brothers Big Sisters, City of Hope, The META Foundation (Making Education the Answer), and The Wooden Floor, to name a few of the company’s 25+ beneficiaries.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from the University of Texas at Dallas.
